Privacy Policy

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Vedic Kundali (“the App,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information when you use the App. The App provides Vedic astrology calculations, Kundali charts, horoscope readings, compatibility tools, numerology, and related features.

Birth profiles and generated Kundali calculations are stored locally on your device. We do not operate an account system or upload complete birth profiles to our own server.

Information You Provide

To generate astrological results, you may provide:

• Name or profile name.
• Date and time of birth.
• Birth city or place.
• Latitude, longitude, timezone offset, and Ayanamsha preference.
• Other profiles selected for compatibility calculations.

How Information Is Stored and Used

• Saved birth profiles are stored locally using the device’s application storage.
• Astrological calculations are performed within the App using its bundled calculation engine.
• Information is used to display Kundali charts, planetary positions, Yogas, Doshas, Dashas, horoscope readings, and related results.
• You can edit or delete saved profiles through the profile manager. Removing the App may also remove locally stored App data, subject to your device’s backup and restore settings.

Internet and Third-Party Services

Some features use internet services. When these features are used, service providers may receive technical information such as your IP address, request time, and the data included in the request.

• OpenStreetMap Nominatim: Birth-place search sends the city or place text you enter to retrieve location suggestions and coordinates.
• BigDataCloud: Latitude and longitude may be sent to retrieve timezone information for accurate birth-time conversion.
• Connectivity checks: The App may perform DNS lookups to determine whether internet access is available.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Avoid entering unnecessary personal information into a birth-place search field.

Device Permissions

The App requests internet access. It does not currently request access to your device’s precise GPS location, contacts, camera, microphone, or photos for its core astrology features.

Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

The current version of the App does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking. If this changes, this policy will be updated and any permissions required by applicable law or platform rules will be requested.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your birth-profile information. Information may be disclosed only when necessary to provide a third-party feature described above, comply with applicable law, protect rights or safety, or support a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

Data Security and Retention

We use the operating system’s application storage to retain saved profiles. No storage method is completely secure. Protect your device with a passcode and keep its operating system updated. Local profiles remain until you delete them, clear the App’s data, or uninstall the App, subject to device backups.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through an account or server-based service. A parent or guardian should supervise use by a minor and avoid saving unnecessary identifying information.

Astrology content is provided for informational, cultural, and entertainment purposes. It is not medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other professional advice and should not be the sole basis for important decisions.

Your Choices

• Use a nickname instead of a legal name.
• Edit or delete saved profiles within the App.
• Choose not to use online place-search and timezone features.
• Uninstall the App or clear its storage to remove local data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when App features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date will identify the latest revision.
